May 13, 2021: Saddle Mountain (Coast Range, Oregon)

Saddle Mountain is best known for its June and July wildflowers, but it turns out there's plenty to interesting stuff to see if you go in May: alp lilies, glacier lilies, pink fawn lilies, douglasia, Gorman's and Saddle Mountain saxifrage, fringed kitten-tails, and tons of frigid shooting stars. (I didn't know alp lilies or douglasia even grew in western Oregon.)
