Mecaphesa sp., Eschscholzia californica

The spiders are a male (small) and female (big) of the same species, either Mecaphesa californica or Mecaphesa asperata. They're probably mating, but what a weird sexual position! (The pink petals in the upper left belong to a geranium that my friend was using to hold down the poppy's petals.)
