My little car had NO business being on this road (and any Red Bluff local could have told me that). It got so bad that I eventually called for a tow truck; unfortunately, they didn't send a tow truck, just a guy in a pickup truck. Eventually, with him helping me pick routes and move rocks, I somehow managed to drive down 9 more miles of truly awful road. Moral of the story: if you're ever in Tehama County, stay away from the upper part of Hogsback Road.
