October 1, 2020: The Enchantments (Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Washington)

Four years earlier, I did a 20-mile traverse from one side of the Enchantments to the other; unfortunately, the last 10 miles were pretty boring. So this time, I went out-and-back from the Colchuck Lake side, which was 17 or 18 miles round-trip. The good news: the larch trees were in their peak autumn color. The bad news: the Colchuck Lake Trail is terrible in the dark.
