April 10, 2020: Spring Basin Wilderness & Deschutes River (Oregon)

This was my first excursion out of Portland during the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost the only place open to hiking was BLM land on the east side of the Cascades. North-central Oregon was in a drought, so the flowers were unspectacular... but at least the local cacti and the endemic yellow-hair paintbrush were blooming.
