January 19, 2001: Hanging around in Santa Monica with Ana Liza; we arrived at the beach near the Santa Monica Pier just in time for this very colorful sunset. My camera got a little freaked out by all the reds and oranges in some of the later pictures. January 21: 2001: We walked around Venice Beach: an interesting mix of seashells, seagulls, and sailboats on the one hand, and the tackiest aspects of American culture on the other. It depends on which direction you're looking. |
